Privacy Policy

RankedCMO is a public directory of fractional Chief Marketing Officers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding information about you on this platform.

If you have a question, a correction request, or want a profile removed, the fastest way to reach us is privacy@rankedcmo.com. We respond to all requests within 5 business days.

We collect two categories of information:

1. Publicly available professional information

Some profiles on RankedCMO are created from information that is already publicly available, including professional profiles, company websites, press coverage, and public professional databases. This may include a person's name, professional headline, employer history, location, and areas of expertise.

We do not collect or display personal contact information (personal email addresses, personal phone numbers, or home addresses) without explicit consent.

2. Information you provide directly

If you create or claim a profile on RankedCMO, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, professional bio, photo, LinkedIn URL, website, pricing, availability, and contact preferences.

We also collect your email address and a password hash when you create an account. We never store passwords in plain text.

3. Usage data

We collect standard server logs and basic analytics (page views, referrer, approximate location by country) to understand how the site is being used. We do not sell this data.

• To display your professional profile in the RankedCMO directory
• To match founders searching for fractional CMO expertise with relevant profiles
• To allow you to claim, update, and manage your own profile
• To display verified client reviews attached to your profile
• To send transactional emails (inquiry notifications, review requests) if you have an account
• To improve the accuracy and completeness of directory listings

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use profile data for advertising targeting.

If you are listed in the RankedCMO directory and want your profile removed, email us at privacy@rankedcmo.com with the subject line "Profile Removal Request." Include your name and the URL of your profile. We will remove the profile within 5 business days and will not re-list it without your permission.

Removal requests are permanent. If you later want to be listed again, you can create a new profile at rankedcmo.com/signup.

If information on your profile is inaccurate, outdated, or missing important context, you can:

• Claim your profile — visit your profile page and click "Claim this profile" to take ownership and edit it directly.
• Email a correction — send the specific correction to privacy@rankedcmo.com. Include your name, the profile URL, and what needs to be updated.

We take accuracy seriously. Corrections submitted via email are typically applied within 3 business days.

Client reviews submitted through RankedCMO are associated with a specific CMO profile. Reviews are validated before being published. If you believe a review about you is inaccurate or violates our guidelines, contact us at privacy@rankedcmo.com and we will investigate.

If you request profile removal, we delete your profile data from public display immediately and purge it from our database within 30 days. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.

If you have an account and close it, we delete your account credentials and associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal compliance.

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in if you have an account. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of RankedCMO after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
